Alexandra Headland occupies the short stretch of coast between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba, and its short-stay market is almost entirely apartments. Complexes along Alexandra Parade face the patrolled beach and the Alex Surf Club, with older three-storey walk-ups behind them on Mari Street and Buderim Avenue and a few newer buildings on the headland itself. The suburb attracts guests who want to walk to both Mooloolaba's restaurants and Maroochydore's shopping without paying Esplanade prices.
